Friends and Birds
Song: Lean On Me  Artist: Bill Withers
Sometimes, in our lives
We all have pain, we all have sorrow
But, if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on
For, it won't be long
Til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill
Those of your needs that you won't let show
You just call on me brother when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on
For, it won't be long
Til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on
You just call on me sister when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
If there is a load
You have to bear, that you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load if you just call m

i) How has God called on you to be a friend to others?  Share.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your
life, Consider the ravens: They do not sow or
reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God
feeds them. And how much more valuable you are
than
birds!  (Luke 12:22 & 24)
1. What is God's relationship with the birds in the above verse?
2. Is this relationship with ALL birds, or just the privileged birds? Or just
Peace-Doves? Or Blue-Jays?  Or birds that are well built?
3.  Close with a prayer, with each person sharing two or three qualities they need
today in a friend, and three qualities of a friend each person wants to be to
others.
