respected in the community.  His father was William P.  His wife is Nora V. Ayres (b. 1879 d. 1954).
They had two sons, William A. (b. 1909 d. 1927) who drowned in a farm pond at age 17, and John A. Jr.

An infant daughter named Mary died at birth

The pond where William A. drowned is reported to be a large sink hole from a collapsed cave and can still be
viewed today although it is rather shallow and filling in from a farmed field around it.

William P. was remarried, after the death of his first wife Mary N.,  to Harriet Aurelia Brockway (Dec. 1884) and
later moved to Katy, Texas area around1898.  (Zeta Helen Morison was one child born from this 2nd marriage.
Zeta married William C. Stockdick and had a child named W.C. Stockdick) a portion of the earliest history
came from this line (Floy & W.C. Stockdick)  (Also see History of Saline County.  p. 621)  Other children
included H.A, Mable, Allie, and Leroy.   It is reported that William P. found wealth in Texas in land and oil.
